I was raised here in Wisconsin and have dealt with horses and cattle nearly my entire life.  I started on a small farm that raised bucking stock for rodeos along with breaking horses, then moved on to a larger horse ranch owned by one of the greatest women I ever knew.  Sadly enough she passed away a few years back.  She is the reason I continued on in the horse industry, making saddles.  I just wanted to help others the way that she did me.

I enlisted in the military and did an 8 year stint. While there I earned my Associates and Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice.  While in the service I was deployed to Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom and got a taste of the wars that we are fighting.  After coming back I decided that I was tired of getting shot at so I moved out of the Criminal Justice field for the time being in order to go back to my roots.

I took a custom saddle making course offered by Dallas Stermon of Outlaw Saddlery in Custer South Dakota.  What an eye opening experience!  Dallas is a top-notch instructor and a great all-around guy.  I wish I had more money at the time in order to spend another month out there with him.  I had a great deal of fun with Dallas and learned as much as he could teach me in that short amount of time.  I came back home with a thirst for designing and building custom saddles.
